Rotterdam School of Management was first established in the 1970s. However it was in 1998 that the university became a founding member of The Erasmus Research Institute of Management (ERIM). ERIM was founded by two schools; the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) and the Erasmus School of Economics (ESE).
The mission of ERIM is to conduct scientific research that enables organizations to assess and improve their business processes in order to perform in a profitable and responsible way. The Institute is increasingly acclaimed in the Netherlands and abroad for the sophistication of this vision and its development.
